Championship leader Paul Meijer took the spoils in the second free practice session in Paul Ricard in his Rhesus Racing Aston Martin GT4. Under the hot and heavy sun, the young Dutchman was 7 hundredths of a second quicker than this morning’s fastest man, Alessandro Pierguidi in the MC Maserati Granturisme GT4. With Matt Nicoll-Jones in his Ginetta in third, three different makes made into the top-3 of this second fee practice of the third meeting of the GT4 European Cup. 

Michael Mallock and Humaid Al Masaood, both in an Aston GT4, completed the top-5, while the best BMW and Nissan – Kevin Veltman and Alex Buncombe – set down sixth and seventh.

Belgian BMW team DVB Racing suffered mechanical problems this morning, but Ruben Maes and Enzo Ide had a trouble free second session.
