29/06/2010 GT4 European Cup to the sun!

Welcome to the GT4 European Cup, the championship that assures spectacular racing with exclusive brands. In Paul Ricard, we will live the third meeting of the exciting 2010 GT4 European Cup, following other mythical venues as Silverstone and Spa. After the race in France, the GT4 European Cup will travel on to the Nürburgring, Portimao and Magny Cours.
Open competition
So far the 2010 season has been very exciting, with Aston Martin, Ginetta and BMW fighting for the podium places. Ex-Super League winner Paul Meijer won three races, Michael Mallock one, but with still eight races to go, the battle for the championship is still wide open. BMW drivers Kevin Veltman and Menno Kuus are now in third and fourth position, while IMS Ginetta drivers Hunter Abbott and Matt Nicoll-Jones are fifth. Nissan driver Lucas Ordonnez showed good pace in Spa and is without a doubt a contender on the magnificent French track.
In the Super Sport division, a division for track day cars such as Lotus 2-Eleven, KTM or Donkervoort, Italian Gianni Giudici leads Athanasios Ladas.
Newcomers welcome
In Paul Ricard, for the first time this season, we see three Maserati GT4 entering the series. The Italian make developed the Maserati X last year and both JMB and Maserati come to join the exiting GT4 European Cup battle.
We also live a real première with the first race of the Lotus Evora in the GT4 European Cup. The British GT already is corresponds perfectly to the GT4 European Cup philosophy and this well not be the last of the Evora we see in the series.
Brands, teams and drivers from all over Europe will fight for victory on the magnificent venue of Paul Ricard and may the best one win!
